How to use it
Choose how many UUIDs you need and generate a fresh batch.
Good to know
UUIDs use cryptographic randomness. They are identifiers, not authentication secrets.
Make identifiers for records or test data
Choose how many identifiers you need and generate a batch. A request for two returns two separate version 4 UUID lines, such as f47ac10b-58cc-4372-a567-0e02b2c3d479; your actual values will differ each time.
Use the identifier for its intended job
UUIDs are useful when an application needs a locally created record ID before data is sent elsewhere. The generator uses the browser’s cryptographic UUID API, and it can make between one and 100 values per run.
A UUID identifies a value; it does not authorize access, prove who created something, or replace a secret token. Keep any permission checks and server-side uniqueness rules in the system that stores the records.
