Case Converter — Uppercase, Lowercase, Title Case, and Sentence Case

Apply a consistent uppercase, lowercase, title case, or sentence case rule to pasted text in your browser.

How to use it

Paste your text and choose uppercase, lowercase, title case, or sentence case.

Good to know

Title and sentence casing are mechanical transformations; check names and abbreviations afterward.

Apply one casing rule to a messy list

Paste the text, choose a mode, and run the converter. For example, Title Case changes éCLAIR café to Éclair Café. Uppercase turns Invoice due into INVOICE DUE, and lowercase turns it into invoice due.

What sentence case does

Sentence case first lowercases the whole input, then capitalizes a letter at the start of the text or after ., !, or ? followed by whitespace. The input hELLO wORLD. next becomes Hello world. Next. A line break by itself does not start a new sentence, so use Title Case or review the result when you are cleaning separate labels.

Review names, brands, and abbreviations

These are mechanical transformations. Title Case changes NASA API to Nasa Api, and it may not preserve product spelling such as iPhone. It also cannot decide whether words such as “and” should be lowercase in a headline style. Keep a copy of the original when working with names, acronyms, code, legal text, or email addresses, then correct exceptions after conversion.

The converter handles letter characters beyond English, but it does not translate or proofread. Paste at most 100,000 characters at a time. The text stays in your browser until you copy or download the result.
