How to use it
Paste one name per line, choose how many winners, and pick.
Good to know
Blank lines are ignored. Duplicate names count as separate entries.
Draw from a known participant list
Paste one entry on each line and set the winner count. With Ada, Grace, and Linus and a count of one, a run returns one of those names. For several winners, the tool shuffles the entries and draws without replacement, so the same line is not selected twice.
Prepare the list before drawing
Blank lines are ignored, but duplicate names are separate entries and receive separate chances. The tool cannot detect aliases, verify eligibility, enforce giveaway rules, or preserve a reproducible seed. Deduplicate and save your entrant list first when you need a documented selection process.
Frequently asked questions
Is this random name picker fair?
Yes. It uses a cryptographic random shuffle, so every entry has the same chance.
Can the same person be picked twice?
No. Winners are drawn without replacement. Enter a name twice to give it two chances.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. Paste the entrants, pick the winners, and take a screenshot of the result for your records.
