How to use it
Paste one item per line, then enter a prefix, a suffix, or both.
Good to know
Choose whether empty lines should also get the prefix and suffix.
Turn a plain list into quoted values
Paste one value per line, then specify the exact characters to add. With lines apple, banana, and cherry, a prefix of " and suffix of ", produces "apple",, "banana",, and "cherry",.
Review syntax after applying it
Prefix and suffix values are inserted literally; the tool does not escape quotes, commas, backslashes, or code characters already inside a line. Empty lines can be left alone or wrapped too. This is convenient for a draft list, but use a proper CSV, JSON, or SQL serializer when the result must be safely parsed by software.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add quotes and commas to a list?
Use " as the prefix and ", as the suffix. That turns a plain column into a list ready for code or SQL.
Can I add a prefix to every line in Excel or Notepad++?
Yes—paste the column here, add the prefix, then copy it back. No formulas or regular expressions needed.
Is whitespace kept?
Yes. Your prefix and suffix are added exactly as typed, including spaces.
