How to use it
Paste an array of flat JSON objects, then download the CSV.
Good to know
Cells beginning with spreadsheet formulas are prefixed with an apostrophe.
Export flat records to a spreadsheet-friendly file
Paste an array of objects. The input [{"name":"Ada","score":42},{"name":"Sam","score":7}] becomes:
"name","score"
"Ada","42"
"Sam","7"
How columns are chosen
Headers are collected from the object keys in their first-seen order. Missing and null values produce empty cells. Every cell is quoted, and a quote inside a value is doubled so CSV readers can keep it.
Each item must be a flat object: nested objects and arrays are rejected. Values that begin with a spreadsheet formula character receive a leading apostrophe to reduce formula execution when opened in spreadsheet software. Inspect exported data before sharing it, especially when it came from an untrusted source.
