Paste one item per line and choose a starting number.

Empty lines receive a number too.
Prepare a numbered list
Paste one item per line and choose the starting value. Starting at 7, the lines Apple, Pear, and Orange become 7. Apple, 8. Pear, and 9. Orange.
Every line gets a number
Blank lines are numbered too, which keeps positions aligned with the original input. The starting value must be a safe whole number and the tool supports up to 10,000 lines.
This adds plain text prefixes; it does not make a semantic numbered list in a document editor. Remove existing numbering before using it if you do not want two number prefixes.
