Good to know
The first beat of each bar is accented. Clicks are scheduled with Web Audio for steady timing.
Set a practice pulse
Enter a tempo from 30 to 300 BPM or move the range control, select one to seven beats per bar, then press Start. The first beat uses a higher-pitched click and the beat dots show the current grouping. Use −5 and +5 for small adjustments. Tap tempo averages the spacing of the most recent taps, resetting the tap sequence after a pause longer than two seconds.
For example, set 80 BPM and four beats per bar, start the clicks, then increase by 5 only after you can play a passage cleanly.
Audio timing is still browser timing
Clicks are scheduled through Web Audio slightly ahead of playback, which is steadier than relying only on screen repainting. Audio hardware latency, browser load, Bluetooth devices, and a backgrounded tab can still affect what you hear. This is a practice metronome, not a calibrated timing reference.
