Loading the tool… JavaScript is required for processing on your device. The instructions and examples below are available without JavaScript.

How to use it

Enter times one per line, like 1430, 14:30, or 2:30 pm. The direction is detected for each line.

Good to know

Midnight is 0000 and noon is 1200. 2400 is accepted as midnight at the end of the day.

Convert a list of times in one pass

Enter each time on its own line. The input 1430 becomes 2:30 PM, 0015 becomes 12:15 AM, and 7:45 pm becomes 1945 hours. The tool detects whether each line is written in 12-hour or 24-hour form.

Midnight has two uses in 24-hour notation

The tool accepts 0000 and 2400 as midnight, but rejects 24:01 through 24:59. It does not attach a date, time zone, or daylight-saving rule, so it cannot determine which instant an ambiguous schedule refers to. Keep the original date and location with travel, medical, or operational timings.
