How to use it

Enter a number, choose the international or Indian (lakh, crore) system, and an optional currency.

Good to know

Supports numbers up to 18 digits with up to two decimal places.

Write a number in a readable form

Enter digits, select a grouping system, and choose a currency only when you need a label. The input 1,200,000 in the Indian system with INR produces Twelve lakh rupees only. With the international system and no currency, it produces One million two hundred thousand.

Check formal wording against the document requirement

The converter accepts up to 18 whole-number digits and two decimal places. With a selected currency, a decimal becomes paise or cents; without one, each decimal digit is read after “point.” It does not validate a cheque, invoice, currency convention, spelling standard, or local banking requirement, so compare the final wording with the form you are completing.
