How to use it

Paste text and choose whether to replace line breaks with spaces, remove them, or keep paragraph breaks.

Good to know

Paragraph mode treats blank lines as paragraph separators and joins the lines inside each paragraph.

Repair a paragraph copied from a PDF

Choose Keep paragraphs when a document wraps lines at the page edge. The input This line was broken by a PDF copy. New paragraph here. becomes two paragraphs: This line was broken by a PDF copy. and New paragraph here.. Single line breaks become spaces; blank-line boundaries remain.

Pick the joining rule deliberately

Replace with spaces turns every run of line breaks into one space, while Remove completely joins characters with no separator. The tool cannot tell whether a line ended at a hyphenated word, in a table, or at intentional poetry. Review those cases after copying, especially if exact quotation or legal text matters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove line breaks from copied PDF text?

Paste the text and use Keep paragraphs. Single line breaks are joined with spaces while blank lines between paragraphs stay.

Can I remove line breaks in Word or Excel?

You can paste the text here, clean it, then copy it back. That is often faster than find-and-replace with special characters.

Are double spaces cleaned up too?

Yes. Spaces created by joining lines are collapsed to one space.
