How to use it
Paste a list and choose ascending or descending order.
Good to know
Sorting follows the tool’s text comparison rules, not a spreadsheet’s locale-specific settings.
Put a pasted list in order
Use this when a list needs a quick alphabetical pass before you paste it into a document or spreadsheet. With A to Z selected, the input below becomes:

apple

Each line is one item. Empty lines are sorted too, and repeated lines remain repeated. The tool uses your browser’s text comparison rules, so the placement of accents, case, and non-Latin characters can vary with browser and language settings.
Use it for plain line lists, not CSV rows whose fields need to stay together. Keep a copy if the original order has meaning, such as a ranked list or a queue. You can remove repeats first with the duplicate line remover.
